Eddie Redmayne gives Into Film the lowdown on the Theory of Everything!

Check out The Theory of Everything in cinemas now!

You may have heard of the scientist Stephen Hawking, often regarded as one of the most intelligent men of our times, and instantly recognizable by his electronic voice, which he has due to Motor Neuron Disease, but now you can learn all about the man himself!

Set back in the 1960’s The Theory of Everything explores Mr Hawking’s life when he was a dazzling student at Cambridge University, falling in love with fellow student Jane Wilde, who would later become his wife (and the author of the book the film is based on).

The film focuses mainly on their relationship, from falling in love, to dealing with Stephen’s diagnosis, the extraordinary work the two of them have done to help fight the terrible disease, and achieving more than either could’ve imagined possible.

Taking on the tough role of Mr Hawking is Eddie Redmayne (who you might recognise from Les Misérables) and playing Jane is rising star Felicity Jones. Into Film reporter Harry sat down with the duo to talk about meeting Stephen Hawking and doing their roles justice.
