Our buddies at FILMCLUB have put together the top films that are out on DVD this week! Check them out…
The Little Mermaid – Diamond Edition (U, 1989)
Director: Ron Clements, John Musker
Cast: Rene Auberjonois, Christopher Daniel Barnes, Jodi Benson
The Little Mermaid is Ariel — daughter of Triton, King of the Sea. Ariel dreams of life above the water, and one day dares to venture there against her father’s wishes.
She meets and falls in love with a handsome human, Prince Eric, and unwisely calls upon banished evil sea witch Ursula to make her human too. Loosely based on the story by Hans Christian Andersen, this animated Disney feature has a healthy dose of comedy and classic songs such as Under the Sea.

Star Trek Into Darkness (12, 2013)
Director: J.J Abrams
Cast: Simon Pegg, Zoe Saldana, Chris Pine
The Star Trek science-fiction saga has been around since 1966, when it was first broadcast on television.
Back then, humans were yet to land on the moon, and the show’s futuristic intergalactic adventures captured the imagination of audiences of all ages. The first Star Trek movie was produced in 1979, but a new series began with J.J. Abrams’ 2009 reboot.
You won’t need to be a ‘Trekkie’ to enjoy Into Darkness; the story is easy to pick up as James T. Kirk, Captain of the Starship Enterprise, leads his crew in a deadly battle against the destructive force of Khan.
