Junior Club Blog: Charlie the Parrot

charlietheparrotHey! It’s Alex from The Junior Club here!

At Fun Kids, we love stories about happy animals, particularly if they have overcome loads to get there.

That’s why I was so happy to read about Charlie the parrot this week.

Charlie used to be quite unwell and nobody was feeding him. This caused him to pluck all of his feathers out and eat them to survive.

Luckily he was found by Rebecca Blagg and rehoused. Not only does she feed him, but she has also knitted him some small jumpers to keep warm. He has them in green, yellow, peach, blue and this one, white.

He loves them so much, that even in the Summer, he gets upset if anyone takes his jumper off of him. And luckily for Charlie, the jumpers have extra big wing holes so they don’t restrict his movement.

I think Charlie looks really trendy. Does your pet have any cool clothes? If they do make sure you send us a photograph for our Pet Gallery.
