Listen to our Exclusive Interview with McFly!

McFly_4On Tuesday evening, Heathrow switched on its first ever Christmas lights, and to mark the occasion in true style they got McFly to flick the switch!

Dressed in pilot uniforms (and in Dougie’s case a lovely stewardess outfit!), McFly turned the lights on outside Terminal 5 Arrivals before performing a surprise gig for staff and passengers.

McFly played hits such as Party Girl and Shine a Light from their new album, Above the Noise, as well as classics like All About You. Surprisingly enough, it was their first ever airport gig!

Our very own James from Breakfast was lucky enough to be there and not only did he get to see them play, he even spoke to them afterwards!

James spoke to McFly all about the gig, their new album and whether they would sue a McDonald’s airport!

McFly_8The Christmas lights will remain on at the world’s busiest international airport for the whole of the festive season.

During this time three million passengers are expected to fly through Heathrow with nearly half a million between Saturday 19th December and Thursday 24th December alone!
