The Royal Mail has released a set of four commemorative stamps to celebrate 100 years of Girlguiding
The set of four stamps highlights the organisation’s four age groups – the Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Seniors. And each of stamp is designed to bring out the sheer enjoyment of being part of the Guides, and displays some of the many activities enjoyed by hundreds of thousands of girls around the UK.
‘We wanted this centenary miniature sheet of stamps to capture the many activities undertaken by Girlguides,’ said Julietta Edgar, head of special stamps at the Royal Mail.
Girlguiding is the largest youth organisation in Britain, with about 550,000 members.
