Your France Scrapbook!
And I’ve been keeping track of all of your adventures!
When I’m not hanging out in the Sky Zone, I’m jetting off around the world – exploring some of the amazing places you can visit flying from Birmingham Airport!
I’ve seen so many countries and cities it’s hard to keep track of them all – so it’s lucky I’ve got my trusty scrapbook!
And it looks like you’ve been creating your very own scrapbook entries on your adventures at home or abroad too.
Here are your scrapbook entries from France!
One of the best places to visit when you’re in France is Disneyland Paris! Lots of you went and got autographs from the characters, ate some yummy food and went on the rides!
Ava from Manchester went to Disneyland!
I went here with my mummy and daddy and it was special treat for my birthday because I’d always wanted to go. I went on lots of rides and some I cried on and some I was very brave my mummy said. My best bit was meeting Elsa from the film frozen.
And Cai from West Yorkshire went too!
All of the characters of Disney,we went on the rides and met Mickey Mouse. My favourite bit was eating at the Rainforest Cafe and listening to the animals and noise of the rainforest.
Rhys from Weston Rhyn also went to Disneyland!
I went with mum and nan and had an awesome time. We saw all the character, got autographs and nan went on the rollercoaster. I loved the fireworks and the parade. I made lots of memories and would love to go back one day.
Elliot went to Disneyland too!
Disneyland Paris was brilliant as there were loads of rides and the Pirates of the Caribbean was just the best! I loved the haunted house especially when it went really dark. The castle looked just like on the start of the Disney films and we saw Mickey Mouse, Winnie The Pooh and Pinocchi. My little brother slept in the car all the way home and me and my friend Timeo loved our day out.
Normandy is famous for it’s beaches, half-timbered houses and grazing cattle, but it has been a battleground throughout history, from the Viking raids to the D-Day landings.
Maisey from Hove went to Normandy!
We zoomed off on a family holiday to Normandy. We walked in a forest, ran on the beaches, fished in a river and splashed about a hot-tub in the rain. We stayed in a small Gite and made friends with the owners’ French Bulldog and pet sheep who was called Mona Lisa!
Paris is the capital city of France. From the Eiffel tower and the Arc de Triomphe, to the Seine and the Louvre. There’s so much to see and do for everyone.
Tara from Plymouth went to Paris!
I saw the giant Eiffel tower and there were lots of people selling little Eiffel towers near it and I have one on a keyring. I went on a boat on the river and we went into a museum called the Louvre which was full of really cool stuff. My favorite bit was going to see lots of skulls that were under the ground! It was spooky but really cool. I took lots of pictures of paris and have sent one of my favorite of the skulls. It was brilliant there but we had to queue up for ages
Chinon is in an area of France called the Touraine. It’s known as the “garden of France”. It is well known for its wines as well as its castle and historic town.
Florence from Kent went to Chinon!
Chinon is Famous for its wine, the are vineyards as far as the eye can see! A majestic royal fortress (now a tourist museum) stands high upon the hills, above a sandy beach and beautiful historic town center, with its half timbered houses. Joan of Arc and Richard Lionheart are the people you’d be reminded of if you ever went to Chinon castle. DID YOU KNOW: my second name is Jeanne which is Joan in french, I am named after Joan of Arc.
Le Puy de Fou
Puy du Fou is a theme park in Les Epesses. It’s not your usual theme park though, there’s a medieval village, historical battle shows and restaurants.
Matthew from the Isle of Wight went to Puy du Fou!
I saw the Viking show and the gladiators. There are so many shows, it’s hard to see them all in one day! I understood from the translator that you can get at the office. It was the best theme park ever-even without rides!
Cherbourg, in Normandy, is a port town with a big seafaring history. There are lots of ships and boats to see in the port, and shops and restaurants.
Harvey from Farnborough went to Cherbourg!
We went on the catamoran. Once there, we went to a fantastic Museum of the Sea. It had an awesome aquariam full of brightly coloured fish and even had some sharks, you could view the fish from every level of the Museum. My favorite tank was full of Jelly fish which had ultra violet light to show them off they were so pretty. We had a French Picnic full of lovely food and a Lemon Tourte, we sat near a fountain to eat it. Lovely shops and Interesting buildings.
