Your Arabian Peninsula Scrapbook!
Hi, it’s Zoom here from Birmingham Airport!
And I’ve been keeping track of all of your adventures!
When I’m not hanging out in the Sky Zone, I’m jetting off around the world – exploring some of the amazing places you can visit flying from Birmingham Airport!
I’ve seen so many countries and cities it’s hard to keep track of them all – so it’s lucky I’ve got my trusty scrapbook!
And it looks like you’ve been creating your very own scrapbook entries on your adventures at home or abroad too.
Here are your scrapbook entries from the Arabian Peninsula!
Abu Dhabi is the capital of the United Arab Emirates. It’s actually on an island in the Persian Gulf. There are tall modern skyscrapers, uuge shopping centers, and there’s the Shiekh Zayed Grand Mosque with a huge Persian carpet, chrystal chandeliers and it can hold up to 41,000 worshippers.
James from Warrington went to Abu Dhabi!
My Daddy was working out in Abu Dhabi for two months and me, my sister and mummy went out to visit him. I loved going to the beaches and there are big shopping centres with big play areas and fun fairs. It was always very hot, but we had hats on and lots of sun cream and cool clothes.
Qatar is an Arab country that sits on a Peninsular – a piece of land that sticks out from the mainland. There are long beaches and dunes to explore, and a desert. The capital is Doha, where there are lots of tall skyscrapers.
Georgie from Kenilworth went to Qatar!
Sand, camels, the sea, waterpark!
Dubai is a big city in the United Arab Emirates. There are tall skyscrapers, holiday resorts, and luxury shopping malls. The biggest of the skyscrapers is the Burj Khalifa, which is 830 meters tall. There are also man-made islands in the sea, one of which is Atlantis, which is a resort in the shape of a Palm, which has water and marine animal parks.
Poppy from Poynton also went to Dubai!
I did lots of exciting things in Dubai. I visited the world tallest building called the Burj Khalifa, it was 830 metres tall and very high in the sky! We also went on a desert safari to go “dune bashing” and we raced up and down the sand dunes in a big car. Me and my little brother Isaac also went on a quad bike with our daddy, it was very fast! We then had a BBQ and watched a belly dancer doing funny dances, the music made me want to dance too! We did lots of other nice things on our holiday. We swam in the swimming pool, collected sea shells on the beach and had lots of ice creams! We also got to see the dancing fountains at Dubai Mall at night time. Its big lights lit up the sky. It was a fantastic holiday and I would love to go back again!
Haaris from Farington went to Dubai!
On my trip to Dubai I saw so many new and exciting things, skyscraper buildings as tall as can be, camels on the beach and blue blue sea, the worlds tallest building, a huge shopping mall, lots of food and drink more than i have ever seen, even a whole market place full of gold. wish i could go back, I even met a special friend a friendly Dubai cat.
