The White Rabbit is late for the Duchess, the Cheshire Cat won’t stop grinning and the Hatter is, well, mad!  In the middle of it all is Alice, a young girl with a vivid imagination and a family life that’s less than perfect.  Follow Alice as she escapes her bedroom to find adventure in a topsy-turvy world. Based on Lewis Carroll’s classic tale, Alice breathes fresh life into a much-loved story about rabbit holes, pocket watches and talking caterpillars.  Alice is a modern twist on the celebrated story, which will be set entirely in Sheffield (and wonderland!).

Ruby Bentall stars as Alice , a current rising star, she is mostly recognised for her role as Minnie in BBC drama Lark Rise to Candleford and Mary Bennet in the successful mini series Lost in Austen.  Her first professional role was on the BBC’s Holby City, which she filmed in 2006 while still at Richmond College.  Her other television credits include You Can Choose Your Friends, Doctors, Oliver Twist and New Tricks.  Bentall also has a cameo in the new Robin Hood film starring Russell Crowe.

May not be suitable for young children. Recommendation age 8+
