  • Once the lower deck mess and schoolroom for Warrior’s your officers, Warrior’s Gun Room is now somewhere you can bring your young ‘sailors’ for R&R, including costumed role-play, toys, games and colouring sheets.

  • 11am – 12noon & 2pm – 4pm
  • Crowns, Coifs, Helmets And Hats at the Mary Rose Museum
  • Try on a range of Tudor hats and design your own crown to take home.

  • Easter Egg Trail at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard
  • Self guided Easter Trail – the Easter Bunny has hopped all over Portsmouth Historic Dockyard leaving a trail of Eastery mischief behind him. Help solve the nautical themed Easter clues to find the hidden Easter Bunny illustration and receive a small prize for your Easter Egg Detective work in each venue; also your raffle ticket will be entered into a prize draw at the Visitor Centre each day

  • Dragon Eggs at the National Museum of the Royal Navy
  • Get inspired by Naomi Novik’s exciting Temeraire books where dragons fight alongside Nelson’s Navy to make a special dragon ‘Easter’ egg to take home!
  • FREE drop-in workshop, all ages welcome

Thursday 8 April

  • 11am – 1pm & 2pm – 4pm
  • Globetrotting on board HMS Victory
  • Make your own mini-globe complete with ships and sea creatures.
  • FREE with a valid attraction ticket, all ages welcome

Saturday 10 & Sunday 11 April

  • 10am – 4pm
  • ‘Spinning A Yarn’ at the Mary Rose Museum
  • Try your hand at Tudor crafts with demonstrations of spinning and weaving by the Portchester Spinners.
  • FREE with valid attraction ticket (children must be accompanied by an adult)

Wednesday 14 April

  • Easter Island at the National Museum of the Royal Navy
  • Discover the secrets of Easter Island and find out about more about Captain Cook and his voyages!
  • FREE drop-in workshop, all ages welcome

Thursday 15 April

  • Seafari at the National Museum of the Royal Navy
  • From fabulous fish to awesome octopi. Find out about life under the ocean waves and create your very own sea creature to take home

Saturday 17 & Sunday 18 April

  • 11am – 4.30pm
  • Pepys Show with the National Museum of the Royal Navy in Victory Arena
  • Samuel Pepys returns to Portsmouth Dockyard exactly 350 years after he started work for the Navy. Meet Pepys, his long-suffering wife Elizabeth, Master Shipwright John Tippetts and a cast of supporting characters from his famous diaries. Members of the History Re-enactment Workshop will bring this fascinating period to life in Victory Arena and the National Museum of the Royal Navy. Performances will be at 11.30am, 1.30pm and 2.30pm, with activities to take part in and characters to meet all day.

Saturday 17 & Sunday 18 April

  • Ship Shape onboard HMS Warrior 1860
  • Young greenhorns become sailors-in-training aboard Warrior.  Through hands-on activities, role-play and guided exploration of the ship discover the living and working conditions of a Victorian sailor.
  • FREE with a valid attraction ticket (children must be accompanied by an adult)

Saturday 24 & Sunday 25 April

  • 11am – 12noon & 2pm – 4pm
  • ‘Meet The Navigator’ at the Mary Rose Museum
  • Life before satnav!  Find out how the Mary Rose navigator steered his course
  • FREE with a valid attraction ticket (children must be accompanied by an adult)
