Arcosm Company @ Sadler’s Wells (9 and 10 April)

April 9, 2012toApril 10, 2012

As the UK’s leading dance house, Sadler’s Wells presents dance in all its forms to the widest possible audiences.

For the Easter holidays, Sadler’s Wells presents a wide variety of productions and events aimed specifically at children and young families.

French four-piece Arcosm Company return to Sadler’s Wells with Echoa. Drums of all descriptions are cleverly organised on scaffolding so that seven different dance scenes can unfold below.

The cast of dancers and drummers seize the stage and blur the lines between music and movement, allowing audiences to ‘see’ the dance with their ears.

Echoa appears as part of Sadler’s Wells’ Family Weekend on Monday 9 & Tuesday 10 April 2012. A two-day festival with an array of games and activities happening all over the building, offering a choice of entertainment for the youngest children in the family through to their older siblings.

Included in Family Weekend is balletLORENT’s Underneath the Floorboards in the Lilian Baylis Studio. A captivating production for under-fives follows John on his moving day and takes children on a journey through a bottomless box, underneath the floorboards and into a strange magical world!
