Shark Awareness Week (Mon 27 July – Sun 2 Aug)
This is your chance to find out the truth about sharks. Are they really as threatening as they appear in the movies?

Wild Yorkshire Week ( Mon 3 Aug – Sun 9 Aug)
This week is dedicated to’ Wild Yorkshire’ and is a celebration of our local wildlife.
Discover how to bring wildlife back into your own garden and create a butterfly feeder from scrap material in the Northern Seas Gallery from 11am – 3pm daily.
View the Yorkshire Wildlife photographic exhibition on the 3rd floor and enjoy guided walks along the river front beside The Deep.

Jellyfish Week (Mon 10 Aug – Sun 16 Aug)
You’ll be led into the magical world of these graceful creatures, whose bodies are 95% water. The Deep is the UK’s number one for jellyfish. Find out all about how we do it using our special tanks and expert care.
Demonstrations will be taking place in the Northern Seas Gallery at 12pm and 3pm.
