With October just around the corner it’s time to get out into the fresh air and make the most of the new season. National Trust gardens, parks and woodlands are alive with the colours and scents of autumn.
Enjoy a 2.5 hour (4 mile) guided ramble through the beautiful landscape of the Stour Valley, using quiet footpaths to explore the rich tapestry of fields and woods that were the inspiration for the artist John Constable.
In the heart of the beautiful Dedham Vale, the charming hamlet of Flatford is the location for some of John Constable’s most famous pastoral paintings. Find out more about Constable at the exhibition in Bridge Cottage. Next door is the riverside tea-room and gift shop.
The walk takes place from 10:30am – 1pm.
There is an event charge of £6 per person.
