Bring your family along to the Barbican for a special post-Easter musical treat on Saturday 24 April at 1pm and 3.30pm in the Barbican Hall.
Serenade for a Satellite is a thrilling family concert by the Birmingham Contemporary Music Group, one of the country’s top ensembles, which will take you on an intergalactic journey with music inspired by outer space.
Shoot through the stars, discover new galaxies and constellations and explore the magical sound worlds of some of today’s most exciting composers.
With stunning, space-inspired visuals to illustrate the music, games and activities to get you involved in the concert and a special programme to take away as a memento, this is a concert for the whole family to enjoy.
There will also be activities on the foyers before the concerts including the chance to create your own space-inspired melodies and satellite signals. So come along early and join the fun.
Ideal for ages 7+ but the whole family are welcome
