Over this bank holiday weekend, why not use your expert dinosaur spotting skills and follow six clues around the garden to find six hiding dinosaurs!
When you arrive at the entrance to RHS Garden Wisley, you will be given a map of the gardens with the dinosaur dens marked.
Just follow the map, visiting each den and stamping your map with the the stamp appropriate for that dinosaur – there are five dinosaurs to find – Pteranodon, Diplodocus, Triceratops, Stegosaurus and last but not least T Rex.
All in all the hunt will take about 45 minutes.
Along the train, look out for two plants that may have been around in some form when dinosaurs lived:
- Soft Fern Tree (Dicksonia antartica. This fern can have fronds that are 3m long.
- Maidenhair Tree (Ginkgo biloba). This tree has lovely fan shaped leaves.
Suitable for any dinosaur expert under the age of 8 years old.
