The week after the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, Wisley is playing host to mini show gardens designed by gardeners of the future as part of the RHS Budding Gardeners’ Competition.
See over 30 mini gardens designed by local school children. Get ideas, find inspiration and see for yourself just how much gardening creativity can be squeezed into 1m x 1m.
Budding gardeners of all ages will get ideas on what to do with small plots and how to brighten up garden corners or containers.
Vote for your favourite in the People’s Choice Award and find out the winners of our various categories including of course the Best in Show.
There’s lots of other half term activities going on at Wisley for you to get stuck in and have a go at gardening as a family:
Make a bee finger puppet
Monday 30 May and Tuesday 31 June between 10am to 12pm and 1pm to 4.30pm
Sow bee plants
Sow and grow hesperis, a lovely purple flowered plant to attract bees in to your garden.
Wednesday 1 June – Friday 3 June. 10am – 12pm and 1pm to 4.30pm
‘HONEY’ theatre performance
An educational bee-themed interactive theatre performance by Pif Paf Theatre. ‘Honey’ is supported by Co-operative Plan Bee. Maximum 28 places per performance on a first come first served basis, suitable for school aged children.
2 & 3 June with performances at: 10.30am, 11.15am, 12 noon, 2.30pm and 3.15pm.
Open all year except Christmas Day

Nov – Feb
Sat & Sun: 9am–4.30pm
The garden opens at 9am on Bank Holidays. Last admission is one hour before closing.
