London is getting thoroughly spruced up ahead of the Olympics, and one of the early spectacles you should check out is the new coloured fountains at Trafalgar Square.
Equipped with environmentally friendly LED lights, the fountains beneath Nelson’s Column provide a dazzling display for any visitor in the evening.
And that’s not all. They’re planning to give the pumps some extra oomph, meaning they’ve be able to shoot water higher than ever before – up to 80 feet in the air!
These Grade II listed fountains have been around for hundreds of years – since 1845 – and are as iconic as Nelson’s Column itself.
