Wartime Christmas
17 December – 18 December

Ever wondered what it was like to celebrate Christmas during World War II? Find out how life changed between the years 1939 and 1945 during the season of goodwill and make wartime cards, gift tags and paper chains.
A special wartime activities booklet will also be available (charge apply).
Times: 11.00 – 1.00 and 2.00 – 4.00.

Santa’s Grotto
19 December – 23 December

This year the Museum will be having a special guest visting Aeronauts in December, Father Christmas. Children of all ages are welcome to visit him from 20th of December until 23rd in our specially constructed Grotto before he departs to Lapland to double-check all his final preparations and flight-plans for Christmas Eve. In return for a small fee each child visiting Santa will receive a special gift and be able to tell Father Christmas what they would like their presents to be on Christmas Day; whilst Mum and Dad can take photography of their visit.
Father Christmas will be available to greet people from 11am each day until 5:30pm.
