The Dragon Boat Festival is back! This again promises to be another spectacular and unmissable event in the Chinese calendar.
With up to 40 dragon boat teams competing again this year, traditionally strong teams will be challenged by new corporate teams which will undoubtedly make for another exciting boat race.
There are lots of programmes to keep all spectators entertained including live entertainment on stage, the Lion Dance, Kung Fu demonstration, children’s’ play area, crazy golf for the family, Batak Challenge to test your reactions, and a variety of stalls of cultural interests and activities.
To build up the spirit of next year’s Olympic Games, there is a silent auction for a signed T-shirt by Sir Steve Redgrave and one by the current GB rowing team!
Food and beverages stalls are also available throughout the day.
The London Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival not only provides a fun day for all participants and spectators, it is also a charity event with money being donated to registered charities. This year the main charities are The Chinese Community Centre and Camden Chinese Community Centre.
