A week of workshops, inspired by food and drink -a real feast for all the senses!

Make crazy cutlery, recipe books, mini herb gardens and arty aprons, bake stained glass window and lavender biscuits, and decorate teacups

All activities are free, but places are allocated on a first come, first served basis 30 minutes in advance

Children under 11 must be accompanied by an adult

Saturday 4 April

Easter Egg Bonanza!
10.30am – 12.30pm, repeated from 2.00 – 4.00pm
Join in our Easter celebrations, decorate eggs and egg cups and make a springtime hat or headdress.

Tuesday 14 April

Nursery Rhyme Time – workshop for ages 3 and over
10.30 – 11.30am and 12.00noon – 1.00pm

Tudor Treats – workshop for ages 5 and over
10.30am – 12.30pm and 2.00 – 4.00pm
Make some delicious peppermint creams and decorate a box to put them in.

Fantastic Plastic Placemats – workshop for ages 5-9
2.00 – 4.00pm
Be inspired by ceramics in the museum to make a placemat and some coasters.

Culinary Clay – workshop for ages 10 and over
2.00 – 4.00pm
Create a plate of after-school snacks made from clay.

Fantastic Food Quiz – all ages workshop
Drop in any time between 2.00 – 4.00pm
Find out how much you know about food and drink in this fun interactive quiz.

Wednesday 15 April

Nursery Rhyme Time – workshop for ages 3 and over

Explore different food and drink in these interactive storytelling and craft sessions.

Mini Herb Gardens – workshop for ages 5 and over
10.30am – 12.30pm and 2.00 – 4.00pm
Use recycled materials to make your own miniature herb garden.

Foodie Fridge Magnets – workshop for ages 10 and over
2.00 – 4.00pm
Create a plate of after-school snacks made from clay.

Fantastic Food – all ages storytelling sessions
2.30pm and repeated at 3.30pm
Hear fascinating stories and amazing facts about food.

Thursday 16 April

Nursery Rhyme Time – workshop for ages 3 and over

Explore different food and drink in these interactive storytelling and craft sessions.

Time for Tea – workshop for ages 5 and over
10.30am – 12.30pm and 2.00 – 4.00pm
Paint a teacup and then taste some herbal teas straight from the Geffrye gardens.

Lavender Biscuits – workshop for ages 5-9
2.00 – 4.00pm
Bake your own delicious shortbread biscuits using real lavender flowers.

Arty Aprons – workshop for ages 10 and over
2.00 – 4.00pm
Use food and herb designs to create a printed apron.

Fantastic Fizz – all ages workshop
Drop in any time between 2.00 – 4.00pm
Make some refreshing drinks using fresh herbs.

Friday 17 April

Geffrye Recipe Books – workshop for ages 5 and over

Hidden Herbs – workshop for ages 10 and over

Explore the herb garden and then decorate a wooden box to dry fragrant plants and flowers in.
