Hands On Family Workshops
Explore a different theme each weekend through handling Museum objects. Sessions start with a short introductory talk.

Hands On Africa
Sat 27: 11 – 11.45am and 12.15 – 1pm

Hands On Animals
Sat 6: 11 – 11.45am and 12.15 – 1pm
Sun 7: 2 – 2.45pm and 3.15 – 4pm

Hands On Costume
Sun 21: 2 – 2.45pm and 3.15 – 4pm

Hands On Masks
Sun 28: 2 – 2.45pm and 3.15 – 4pm

Hands On Music
Sat 13: 11 – 11.45am and 12.15 – 1pm

Hands On Puppets
Sun 14: 2 – 2.45pm and 3.15 – 4pm

Free admission
Children must be aged 3+ and accompanied by an adult. Tickets available half an hour before the session from the Information Desk. Limited spaces.

Art and Craft in the Education Centre

1.30 – 2.15pm and 2.45 – 3.30pm

Free admission

Family Tours with the Hornimans
Sun 21 June – Mr Horniman
11am, 12pm, 1pm, 2.30pm and 3.30pm
Find out what Miss Horniman thinks of her father’s museum, and meet the man himself for a special tour of the fabulous collection.

Family Storytelling –Tales from the Galleries
Every Sat until 27 June

Watch our objects and Gardens come alive with enchanting stories from around the world.

Every Wed until 24 June

Hands On Base/Dutch Barn

Free admission
Children must be accompanied by an adult. Limited spaces. Tickets available on the day from the Information Desk at 10.30 and 11am.Check at the Information Desk for the location of the session.

After School Art Club: Fabric Fun
Every Fri from 5 June 4 – 5.15pm
Design and create a beautiful wall hanging using screen printing, batik and other fun techniques.

£15 5 sessions
For both of the above courses children must be aged 8+ and do not need to be accompanied by an adult during the session.
