At Fun Kids we were amazed at how successfully the magic of The Lion King was taken from the screen to the live stage. So we are very excited about this great new exhibit that reveals the inspiration behind Disney’s hit stage musical The Lion King, exclusive to London’s National Geographic Store gallery.
Exploring The Lion King marks the first time a complete exhibition has been devoted to The Lion King in the UK. It will be on display from 21 September until 17 October 2010 in the National Geographic Store’s 150-square-metre gallery space, which has recently hosted exhibitions from some of the world’s leading wildlife and adventure photographers.
This exhibition will give you the opportunity to learn all about the inspiration behind the musical and how they managed to make it the successful show it is today. At Exploring The Lion King you will be able to see the craftsmanship behind the show, including complete costumes from the production, original set models, sketches and miniature costume models. There is also feature interactive video touch screens, allowing you to see the show’s design and detail up-close.
Entrance is free of charge and you are welcome to visit at any time during the store’s usual opening hours.
