Every week National Portrait Gallery put on all sorts of fun activities, workshops and events just for families. Here’s what’s coming up over the next few months:

Family Art Workshops are free but require collecting a ticket, available one hour before the event starts on a first come, first served basis. Sessions last approximately 90 minutes.

Each workshop is designed for ages 5+ and their carers.

Saturday 17 March

10.30 Storytelling for Families Followed by an art activity.

11.30 Family Art Workshops Explore portraits in the Collection, followed by an art activity.

Monday 2 – Friday 6 April

11.00 – 16.00 daily Easter Holiday Activities

Family Art Workshops – Horrible Histories is coming to the Gallery this Easter! Meet the cast of Horrible Histories – Barmy Britain and come face to face with portraits of the famous historical figures who star in the show

Saturday 21 April

£6 for up to five audio players

Explore amazing facts and stories about people in the Collection with our specially recorded tours and interactive touch-screen players. Suitable for ages 7–11.
