Hop on a Tube, hop on a bus and spring into the suburbs during the Easter holidays. Doff your spring hat, create a gnome finger puppet or jolly up your jumper at the daily free family fun workshops including story-telling for our littlest visitors.

Spring hat parade
4 to 5 April

  • Drop in: 12:30-13:30 & 14:00-15:00
  • Make your very own Easter bonnet with a twist. Find inspiration in the Museum’s uniform handling collection. Try on the hats, choose a badge and create a conductor or drivers cap.
  • Craft workshop suitable for ages 5+

Sing-along Suburbia
6 to 9 April and 12 to 16 April

  • 11:00 & 16:30 (sessions last 20 mins)
  • Listen to transport tales then sing and bounce along with catchy tunes and railway rhymes. These action-packed story telling sessions have all forms of transport covered. Storytelling, suitable for under 5s

Gnome finger puppets
6 to 16 April

  • Drop in: 13:00-14:00 & 14:30-15:30
  • How many gnomes can you find in the Suburbia exhibition? Who is your favourite? Join our craft workshop and make your own gnome finger puppet to take home.
  • Choose from a fishing gnome, a rock’n’roll gnome or a gardening gnome.
  • Craft workshop suitable for ages 5+

Funky floral brooches
6 – 16 April

  • Drop in: 12:00-12:30
  • Spring has sprung. Make a bright spring flower or plant brooch to jolly up your jumper this Easter.
  • Craft workshop suitable for ages 5+

Admission to the Museum is free to accompanied children under 16. Adults £10.00; Senior Citizens £8.00; Students £6.00.
