If you’re sometimes stumped for something to do at the weekend and are on the lookout for a family outing that won’t cost the earth, then head to one of the regular free family workshops at Somerset House for a fun creative and learning session. Encouraging the whole family to get involved with interactive arts and crafts activities, the workshops are designed to inspire children and families to get to grips with new activities that they can continue at home.
From painting and fashion design to model making and animation,the free family workshops at Somerset House should provide some much needed entertainment and stimulation for kids and adults alike. The sessions in the varied programme provide lots of fun materials to play around with for your child’s creative projects.
Forthcoming interactive sessions in the free family workshops at Somerset programme include jungle mask making, dreamscape painting, 3D model making and workshops where kids can design their own paper costumes for a masquerade ball. All of the workshops give families the chance to explore Somerset House, The Courtauld Gallery and Embankment Galleries.
- The free family workshops at Somerset House take place from 2pm – 3.30pm every Saturday.
- The sessions are suitable for children aged 6 – 12 years old.
