Thats many exciting things to see and do at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard over half term

Daily:

  • 10am – 4.30pm
  • Follow The Flag – Family Trail on board HMS Warrior 1860.
  • Find out about the men who lived and worked on board Warrior.
  • FREE with a valid Attraction ticket
  • 10.30am – 4.30pm
  • NEW Family Activity Area on board HMS Warrior 1860.
  • Once the lower deck mess and schoolroom for Warrior’s your officers, Warrior’s Gun Room is now somewhere you can bring your young ‘sailors’ for R&R, including costumed role-play, toys, games and colouring sheets.
  • FREE with a valid Attraction ticket
  • 11am – 12noon & 2pm – 4pm
  • Tudor Games And Pastimes at the Mary Rose Museum – hands-on activities for all the family.
  • FREE with valid attraction ticket (children must be accompanied by an adult)

Wednesday 17 February

  • 11am – 1pm & 2pm – 4pm
  • Ice Warrior – How To Survive The Arctic at the National Museum of the Royal Navy
  • Get prepared for the frozen world of the Pole by discovering some handy survival tips and making your own Arctic explorers kit.
  • Free drop-in workshop, all ages welcome

Tuesday 16 & Thursday 18 February

  • 11am – 4pm
  • Crack The Code on board HMS Warrior 1860
  • Use Signal Flags and Semaphore to spell your name and send messages from ship to shore. Become a secret agent, make a spy gadget and send coded messages to your family and friends.
  • FREE drop-in activity – all ages welcome

Thursday 18 February

  • 11am – 4pm
  • Sea Life Roadshow At Buckland Community Centre with the National Museum of the Royal Navy
  • Don’t come to us, we’ll come to you! Led by the National Museum of the Royal Navy, join us, other local museums and Portsmouth Library Service as we take to the road for a fun-filled day of art and craft, storytelling, object-handling and a variety of other activities.
