Brighton’s Royal Pavilion is hosting its first ever outdoor ice rink.
It’s the only rink in the country with its own pre-school crèche, pop up restaurant serving award winning food, beginners area and ‘penguin’ skate aids especially for youngsters.
It promises to be the Christmas rink to visit outside of London!
With the former Royal pleasure palace as backdrop, the 700 square metre rink will accommodate 200 skaters per session, and offer a fully licensed rink-side restaurant run by Due South, past winner of the Observer Food Monthly’s Best Seaside Restaurant in Britain.
Only 50 minutes on the train from London, Brighton is Christmas shopping heaven with the independent shops of the Laines and North Laine on the Pavilion’s doorstep, and Churchill Square shopping centre just 5 minutes’ walk.
The rink will be open to the public 13 November to 16 January, 10:00-22:15 and the restaurant will be open 08:00-midnight.
