A festival based entirely around garlic might sound an unappealing prospect. However, as the festival is keen to demonstrate, garlic can be used for far more than warding off lovers and vampires.
Garlicky favourites last year ranged from the predictable (garlic butter with moules) to the rather more esoteric: garlic beer, garlic ice cream and garlic baby food all proved particularly popular.
