National Gallery

Every Sunday is Family Sunday at the National Gallery. Join us for free fun activities, exciting trails and new audio tours.

For families with children aged 5 to 11
Free hands-on art workshops at 11am, repeated 2pm every Sunday. Meet in the Education Centre Foyer. Workshops last two hours.

Mirror, Mirror on the Wall – 21 June
Inspired by opulent interiors, create and transform your own space and put yourself in the picture with artist Aliki Braine.

Awash on the Thames – 7 June
Join painter Jo Lewis on a journey down a sun-soaked river Thames while exploring reflection and colour à gogo.

View-finding Visions – 28 June
Experience perspective at new depths by making your own view-finder and cityscape with artist Robin-Lee Hall

Canvas Capture – 14 June
Plotting characters on canvas, bring the fun of the outdoors inside with artist Gayna Pelham.

Magic Carpet storytelling
10.30am-11am daily
11.30am–12pm every Sunday

Meet in the Education Centre Foyer.
Fly away on the magic carpet as it comes to land in front of a different painting each day. Each story ties in with the four workshop themes for this spring.

Family Walk and Talk
12.30 to 1.30pm first Sunday of each month
All ages welcome
