  • Once the lower deck mess and schoolroom for Warrior’s your officers, Warrior’s Gun Room is now somewhere you can bring your young ‘sailors’ for R&R, including costumed role-play, toys, games and colouring sheets.

  • 11am – 12noon & 2pm – 4pm
  • How To Look Good Tudor Style at the Mary Rose Museum
  • Try on one of our costumes and step back in time.
  • A free mystery objects quiz for every child

Tuesday 1 – Thursday 3 June

  • 10.30am, 11.30am, 2pm & 3pm
  • Paddle-Power on board HMS Warrior 1860
  • Make and test your own paddlewheel boat and race from England to America.  The fastest crossing of the Atlantic wins a prize!
  • FREE with a valid attraction ticket. Limited places workshop for children aged 7-11 years

Wednesday 2 June

  • 11am – 1pm & 2pm – 4pm
  • Fantasy Ship at the National Museum of the Royal Navy
  • Let your imagination run wild to create your own fantasy ship inspired by the weird and wonderful ship badges from our collection.
  • FREE drop-in workshop, all ages welcome

Thursday 3 June

  • 11am – 1pm & 2pm – 4pm
  • Sea Odyssee at the National Museum of the Royal Navy
  • Join us for a drawing adventure with the chance to find out about pirates, fish and mermaids along the way!
  • FREE with a valid attraction ticket, all ages welcome

Saturday 12 & Sunday 13 June

  • 11am – 12noon & 2pm – 4pm
  • Are We Fitter And Healthier Than Our Tudor Ancestors at the Mary Rose Museum
  • Find out about Tudor health, fitness, food and medicine, then decide for yourself!  Hands-on activities for all the family.
  • FREE with a valid attraction ticket (children must be accompanied by an adult)

Saturday 19 & Sunday 20 June

  • 11am – 12noon & 2pm – 4pm
  • Learn The Ropes at the Mary Rose Museum
  • Find out about the rigging on the Mary Rose and try your hand at making anti-boarding netting and tying knots
  • FREE with a valid attraction ticket (children must be accompanied by an adult)

Saturday 26 & Sunday 27 June

  • 11am – 12noon & 2pm – 4pm
  • Fabulous Food or Gruesome Grub?
  • Explore the world of eating and drinking in Tudor times.

Sunday 27th June

  • 2pm – 4.30pm
  • Armed Forces Day 2010 with the National Museum of the Royal Navy in Victory Arena
  • Join us once again for this popular event. Come along and enjoy a wartime street party in the Victory Arena, listen to the big band music and meet veterans past and present.
