We seem to have most corners of London covered with fetes and fayres this weekend. Kew is hosting a traditional fete with a vintage fairground, stalls, dog shows, Pimms bar, food, music, dancing, raffles, little pigs (for petting, not eating) and all the wonderful family fun one expects.

Venue: Kew Green, Kew, London TW9

Perfect For: All ages
Now in its third terrific year, Kew Midsummer Fete has established itself as a great family day out, attracting thousands of residents and visitors who enjoy a traditional village fete with a festival atmosphere.
At one end of the Green there’ll be the hurdy-gurdy music of the carousel – Reuben Bond will once more be bringing the vintage rides and sideshows of his Victorian family fairground – and at the other end on the Main Stage there’ll be all-day entertainment from local bands and dancing troupes. In between you’ll find over 100 stalls, including the Craft Marquee, offering the sort of original, wantable things you don’t see on the high street.
Refresh yourself at the beer tent, wine stall or Pimms bar, and tuck into a delicious diversity of food from the best local restaurants. Take a chance on the big Charity Raffle and the Lucky Dip – there are lots of great prizes to be won. And cheer on your favourite at the ever-popular Dog Show – no traditional village fete would be complete without one.
Run by local people for local people in aid of local good causes, Kew Midsummer Fete has become a much-loved local highlight – and a grand day out!
