The sailor’s 1000 stories
Put on your sailor’s cap and join museum staff in the Caribbean rhyming story ‘Ackee, Breadfruit, Callaloo’ by Valerie Bloom. How many new fruits and vegetables will you find? After listening to this fantastic story make a picture book to take home.

Family Ancestor Portraits Workshops
Part of LandFall exhibition. Alongside artist Beth Secor you will have the opportunity to use 12″ x 12 ” background fabrics, and an assortment of materials to recreate your ancestors in this family-orientated workshop. Bring along items (this could be anything from a photograph to an object) that reflect your family or ancestor to help you retell your story within your family. FREE but book in advance

On the Cut
Exciting new play exploring the little known story of the women in wartime who worked on the canals, freeing up men for the armed services. In this play reading with musical accompaniment, follow two women on their route from Limehouse to Birmingham along the Grand Union Canal, their initial antagonism and slowly developing friendship.
