Visiit the Geffrye Museum over half term for some high-rise fun, inspired by the special exhibition “Ethelburgo Tower: At home in a high-rise”.

All activities are FREE, but places are often allocated on a first come basis 30 minutes in advance.

Children under 11 must be accompagnied by an adult

Tuesday 26 May

Nursery Rhyme Time – workshop for ages 3 and over
10.30 – 11.30am and 12.00 noon – 1.00pm
Explore flats in this interactive storytelling and craft session.

Cityscapes – workshop for ages 5 and over
10.30am – 12.30pm and 2.00 – 4.00pm
Create dynamic cityscapes and make a fantasy skyline using boxes and other recycled materials.

Concrete Collage – workshop for ages 5-9
2.00 – 4.00pm
Have fun designing fantasy interiors.  Use collage and other techniques to create an interior for your fantasy flat.

Aerialscapes – workshop for ages 10 and over
2.00 – 4.00pm
Create an imaginary landscape viewed from a high-rise home.

High-Rise Quiz – all ages workshop
Drop in any time between 2.00 – 4.00pm
Find out how much you know about high-rise homes in this fun interactive quiz.

Cityscape workshop at the Geffrye

Create your own cityscapes, sqyuashy tower blocks and squirrel homes, decorate Art Deco birdhouses, shopping bags and plates, and make delicious chocolate-flavoured birds nests.

Build a High-Rise – all ages workshop
Drop in any time between 2.00 – 4.00pm
Build your own flat using jacks and straws. How high can you build?
