The ROH2 are presenting this wonderful operatic version of Edward Lear’s much loved poem The Owl & the Pussycat along canal banks throughout London starting this weekend.  Horsenden Farm is next, followed by Graham Street Garden, Little Venice and Mile End Park. Tickets no charge but must book.
ROH2 presents a water-bound operatic spectacle based around the enchanting Edward Lear poem The Owl and the Pussycat. Featuring a libretto from ex-Monty Python Terry Jones, a new commissioned score from critically acclaimed musician and Oscar-winning (The Full Monty) composer Anne Dudley and directed by Martin Constantine. There will be performances at various points along the canals as it travels from West to East.
This will be one of the highlights of the Mayor of London’s ‘Secrets’, a series of extraordinary site-specific collaborations taking place in a range of hidden spaces across the capital in summer 2012.

Suitable for children aged 5+
The performances are open air and the audience area is not covered – we will endeavour to complete performances, but this is weather dependant.
