Pantomime – ‘Pinocchio’ @ Chickenshed (to Sat 16 Jan)

January 1, 2010toJanuary 16, 2010

Join the Chickenshed this Christmas for Carlo Collodi’s magical tale Pinocchio brought to life with a cast of over 200 people on stage.

Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without Chickenshed’s seasonal offering, so book tickets soon to guarantee seats for you, your family and friends.

From the moment old man Geppetto carves his little puppet, trouble abounds – Pinocchio wants to be a real boy! Pinocchio’s journey takes him from circus to school, from the strange world of Freetown to the ocean and back home again. Pursued by a devious fox and his sidekick, he must learn what it is to have the heart and soul of a human. Beset by dangers and pitfalls, Pinocchio makes his way through a surreal world of naughty children, magical princesses and crickets with a conscience. Oh – and of course his nose grows, and grows and grows!

Our heart-warming, original version of this timeless classic features Chickenshed’s inimitable and exuberant style with music, laughter, tears and not a little drama. Wood we lie to you?
