For all you budding young cooks out there, why not check out Cinnamon Kitchen this half term!
On Monday 21st February 2011, Cinnamon Kitchen’s chefs will be hosting an interactive Spice Workshop that will teach you all about the smell and flavour of Indian spices!
Aimed at children from 5 to 11 years old, you will get to examine, touch and smell various spices in their natural forms. You will also get to grate, crush, pound, pestle and stir the spices, making them ready for use in cooking!
Across the two-hour session, which runs from 11am until 1pm, classmates and their parents will discover a full range of flavours from spices including tamarind, angelica, coriander seed, liquorice, cardamom, anise, peppers, cloves, saffron, ginger, cinnamon, turmeric and cassia.
You will also get to make and eat lots of tasty child friendly canapés and Indian snacks, and be able to take them home so you can recreate them at home.
And so you can show off your new skills, you will get a special ‘Top Chef’ certificate alongside a spice booklet and an exclusive spice bag to takeaway.
Places at this exclusive event are priced at £25 per child for under 11yr olds.
Mum and Dads can enjoy lunch from the à la carte menu or a two course set lunch for £15 or three courses for £18.
Location: Cinnamon Kitchen, 9 Devonshire Square, EC2M 4YL
