Summer festivals are no longer just for mums and dads. There’s a whole line up of great festivals for the whole family (mum and dad might as well come along as you need someone to pay for the ice creams!)
Our pick of the best:
Regent’s Park, London – 5, 6 and 7 August 2011
LolliBop is back and it’s bigger and better than ever. Join in a magical land of endless fun for the under 10s.
Lush Larmer Tree Gardens, near Salisbury (on the Wiltshire/Dorset border) – 13 to 17 July 2011
Larmer Tree is about so much more than just music and comedy with a huge programme of over 150 free workshops, shows and activities for all ages- all included in the ticket price!
Lulworth Castle, Dorset – 28 to 31 July 2011
Fun for all the family is top of the Camp Bestival agenda so expect a super Kids Area filled with magic moments and an abundance of neat treats for lil uns of all ages!
Brecon Beacons, Wales – 19 to 21 August 2011
Children under 12 get in absolutely free, there’s a designated family camping area just a stone’s throw from all the entertainment, and a children’s area with bags of free fun workshops.
Beautiful Days is a family friendly festival with a relaxed and friendly vibe that is much commented on.
