Throughout the summer, children aged 15 and under can go to the Imperial War Museum for free and the activities are free of charge too!
This summer at Duxford, fun family activities will take place every day throughout the school holidays.
Bring the family for a chance to get hands-on with Second World War history and to discover more about the Battle of Britain in this 70th anniversary year.
You can do great activities such as:
- Make a Battle of Britain pilot’s flying helmet
- Meet a costumed interpreter re-enacting the role of a Battle of Britain pilot
- Make-do-and-mend peg spitfires
- Enjoy a selection of wartime toys and games.
As well as these special family activities, children will be able to visit all the exhibitions currently on for free too, such as ‘Duxford in the Battle of Britain’ and ‘People’s Stories: Meet the Veterans’.
