Take full advantage of the weather this weekend and take Mum to RHS Garden Wisley this Mother’s Day.
Take part in one of our special activities or simply enjoy the sheer variety of plants looking their best around the garden.
As well as exotic displays of orchids in the Glasshouse, visitors can take in the blooming spring bulbs bursting forth on Seven Acres and around the Canal, or take a relaxing walk to hidden, quieter corners of the garden in the Pinetum or Arboretum, where the change in temperature has bought a beautiful combination of daffodils, magnolia and blossom into flower.
Other activities include free children’s pot painting on Sunday 22 March in the Clore Learning Centre, where a little gift for mum can be handmade to take home (no pre-booking required – sessions from 10.30am – 12.30pm and 1.30pm – 3.30pm).
Visitors can also take inspiration from the Alpine Display House before wandering down to the Wisley Plant Centre for a free event called ‘Alpines for Everyone’. Expert RHS gardener, Lucie Rudnicka, will be offering advice on the care and cultivation of these fascinating plants in free informal talks at 11am, 2pm and 3pm, whilst a wide range of alpine plants will be on display to purchase.
For last minute presents or gifts on the day, nothing beats the beautifully packaged skincare ranges, unusual jewellery designs, china, glassware and delicious boxes of chocolates on offer in the Wisley Shop. You can also choose the perfect plant and pot combination for gift wrapping in the Plant Centre.
With plenty more highlights coming up over Easter and Summer, RHS Gift Membership is also a wonderful way to guarantee free entry for mum to Wisley for a whole year, plus many other benefits.
