If you’re looking for a magnificent adventure for all the family, then don’t miss out on this brand new production of Michael Morpurgo’s thrilling story, Why The Whales Came, which combines a reverence for nature’s wonders with mystery and excitement. This show is the perfect half-term family outing, and because it is suitable for children as young as 7 years old, you can really get the whole family involved.  Intelligent and with a non-patronising attitude to its young audience Why The Whales Came has already received high praise from critics.

Young Gracie and her friend Daniel live on the Isles of Scilly. They love playing on the beach but they have been warned to keep away from the mysterious person the villagers call the Birdman. However, when the children get stranded on the abandoned island of Samson, only the Birdman can help to explain the real reason for the curse that has plagued the islanders.  In order to understand and overcome the curse, Gracie and Daniel become caught up in an adventure that will prove the most testing and exciting time of their lives!
