To mark the second of the Queen’s two birthdays (this is the official one, her actual birthday is on 21st April), Trooping the Colour features a lively display of military and history ceremony.
Long established and very colourful, the event is the highlight of the London Summer calendar. With a full display of ceremony carried out by several troops of the British Army in complete dress uniform, it is an amazing celebration.
You can follow the trooping down The Mall or see the Horse Guards Parade, where the battalions are joined by the Queen.
Get to the Mall by 9am at the latest with some sustenance and you will feel the full force of London’s traditions. Events start at 10am and the final fly-by is at 1pm
