elizabethAny train enthusiasts big or small should not miss Tyseley Locomotive Works Open Days; are a great chance to get up close to some real steam engines.

Tyseley Locomotive Works is the engineering subsidiary of the Birmingham Railway Museum Trust – a registered educational charity.   The Trust was established to preserve and demonstrate the steam locomotives in the Tyseley collection. And where better than on the main line – where they were designed to operate!

Tyesley Open Days provide an excellent opportunity to:

  • see the Tyseley Collection
  • see the work done at Tyseley,
  • several steam locomotives rides
  • turntable demonstrations and locomotives operating on the running line

Tickets on sale at the entrance gate

  • Cash and cheques only
  • Opening Times 10.00 to 17:00
  • Entrance Fee Adult – £10, Child (5-15 years) (with conditions) – free of charge
  • Vintage Trains Society Members (with conditions) – £5
