shoes_1_If you’re looking for a unique way at looking into history, then this exhibition is definitely worth visiting.

The Cuming Museum has worked with young people from the Visual and Performing Arts Project (VAPA) in Southwark to develop an exhibition about the shoes we wear and the journeys we make in them.

The exhibition showcases designs by the young people and over 50 pairs of historic shoes from the museum’s collection, many of which inspired the work.

Walking in my shoes is part of London 2012 Cultural Olympiad programme Stories of the World.

At the exhibit you can mark your own journey and capture images of your favourite shoes too.
