The Wisley Flower Show has a great new look this year, with a village-style collection of stalls and displays that will spread along the paths and weave up towards the Glasshouse.
The show will feature all your favourite nurseries, including Clay Lane Nursery (original and unusual fuchsias), Hardy’s Cottage Garden Plants (late summer-flowering herbaceous perennials), HW Hyde (lilies), Highdown Nursery (culinary, medicinal and aromatic herbs) and Pennard Plants, whose display will be an ‘edible garden’ of fruit and veg in containers.
New faces to the show will include John Hall Plants Ltd, a heather nursery, the Green Trading Company with eco-friendly products for the garden and Kazworks will feature decorative ceramics.
A major new exhibit for 2009 comes from the National Association of Flower Arrangment Societies (NAFAS), with their highly imaginative, inspirational and award-winning floral displays. Every visitor can also vote for their favourite floral display in a ‘People’s Choice’ category.
For the first time, visitors to the Wisley Flower Show will also be able to follow a trail of some of the region’s top works of garden art, courtesy of the Surrey Sculpture Society. These hand-crafted garden features will be available to buy while the trail is on from 29 August until 30 September.
