Fun Cooking – Flapjack

Preparation time

15-20 minutes
Ingredients
125g/ 5 oz butter
125g 5 oz demerara sugar
5 tablespoons golden syrup
225g/ 9 oz oats
Method
Melt butter,sugar and syrup in a saucepan
Add oats and mix
Spoon in a tin (6-8 inch)
Bake in a medium oven for 15-20 minutes
Try this as an alternative
Add 75g/3oz of raisins or other dried fruits or add nuts and seeds or spice it with cinnamon. You could even brush melted chocolate over the cooled flapjack.
