Hosted by news anchors Grant (an ant) and Antony (an anteater who thinks he’s an ant), What’s Your News? debuted on Nick Jr earlier this year.  The series features animated ants reporting on young children’s successes, whether it is kicking a ball a really long way, learning to play the piano with both hands, losing a tooth, or anything else they want to shout about!  Viewers are encouraged to get in touch to share their news.

What’s Your News? also features interviews with a panel of children called the ‘experts’, special reports, traffic updates and even the weather.

What’s Your News? is on every Saturday at 1pm and Sunday at 3pm.

This was all to launch National Family Week, and FUN kids popped along to join in the FUN.

Children across the UK are encouraged to get up, get dancing and get fitter every Saturday with  the Fun Kids Danceathon!

The show, which is on every Saturday at 4pm, features sixty minutes of energetic toe tapping tunes, with dance moves and encouragement to get kids (and grown-ups) on their feet.

More about Fitter Families

The Fitter Families campaign is a step by step initiative that is not about “being fit” but focuses on “getting fitter”.  It uses simple and easy-to-understand language, helping each member of the family to lead healthier, longer, happier lives. Families will be invited to sign-up to Fitter Families through the website www.fitterfamilies.com

The initiative is supported by a Fitter Families book, written by Ian Wright and Fit for Sport founder, Dean Horridge. The book provides simple tips for engaging the family in achieving a healthier lifestyle, such as walking to school, exercising the dog or swapping crisps for fruit; the book aims to motivate families to build fun activity and a sensible approach to food into their everyday life.

Sam, Matt and James were presented the award by Chris Evans at Grosvenor House in Central London at a star studded event.

Making the award, the Sony judges concluded: “Fun Kids takes the great idea of a children’s radio station and makes it a creative and innovative reality. The presenters really understand how to connect with the young audience, the features get right under the skin of what matters to kids, and it has an infectious energy which makes it compulsive listening for kids of all ages.  Fun Kids demonstrates that doing important things can also be fun”.
