Leonard Bertamini, aged 9: “This film is great at showing how important an animal’s life is to some people. Well, as a matter of a fact, their lives are just as important as ours.

The stars who feature in this film are: Harry Connick Jr, as the manager of the marine hospital; Ashley Judd as Sawyer’s mother; Nathan Gamble as Sawyer; Cozi Zuehlsdorff as Hazel (Sawyer’s friend and companion in the film) and Morgan Freeman as the doctor.

This is a great film that shows Sawyer’s amazing determination to save Winter’s life. I give this film 4.99 stars!”

Rating: 4.99 out of 5

Louis Mullens, aged 10: Dolphin Tale has amazing scenes of swimming with dolphins, that is truly and utterly swim-tastic! This film is quite unique because I can’t think of many films that are quite like it, but here are some I can; Whale Rider and Black Stallion. If you like roller coasters, then this also might be your film, because A Dolphin Tale is a massive roller coaster of emotions, with some big loops and twists along the way.

This film has a great plot and amazing scenes, but some of those scenes were a little bit over-exaggerated, making it a little bit unrealistic, and maybe for some people, less believable. Also, I wasn’t so pleased with Austin Stowell’s (Sawyer’s cousin) acting; I found it quite monotonous to watch. But apart from that Nathan Gamble and Cozi Zuehlsdorff did a great job of acting for their age!

I will give this film 4 stars mainly because of the good acting and the amazing scenes with Winter, but the reason why I’m not giving it 5, is simply because in parts it lacked believability.”

Rating: 4 out of 5
