Daise, aged 11: “Breath-taking, thrilling, action packed ; WOW! Tintin and Snowy are back. It all starts when Tintin buys a model ship called ‘THE UNICORN’ (remember that). I don’t want to give to much away as I think if you know to much, you’ll be waiting for it to happen, expecting it but…Why do people sudenly want to buy it off Tintin? Who’s the pick-pocket? Is it a good thing Snowy broke the ship?”

Nathan, aged 12: “This movie is amazing! When I was little I read all the Tintin books so when this movie came out I had to see it I went to the cinema to see it and I was not disappointed.

Jamie Bell makes a great Tintin, the story is of a young boy reporter Tintin who buys a boat but when it is broken by his dog and best friend Snowy he discovers a big secret and sets out to find the secret of The Unicorn. Along the way well meet captain Haddock and the Thompsons.

Steven Spielberg did a great job of capturing Tintin to the big screen, he got all the voice actors right, the action scenes is also very good there were a lot of parts that made me laugh.

Usually I prefer drawn cartoons but the computer generated affects were absolutely great, also the drawn animated opening at the start was great. I can’t really think of anything bad about this film and i’m glad that there will be a second Tintin.

This film gets a massive 5 stars it has action adventure comedy crime and the whole family can watch it,  overall great movie.”

Felix, aged 8: “This is a great film about a boy reporter who buys a model ship called ‘The Unicorn’, and he finds out there is something special about the ship, and also makes some new friends… and enemies.

I found it hilarious when Captain Haddock belched into the plane’s engine and made the propeller overload! I would recommend this film to any one who likes all action movies.”

Rory, aged 9: “A spectacular event for people everywhere. It’s a great way to read the comics because it inspires you to do so. Also it’s a great experience for adults and children because it’s a stunning 3D film. The adventure of this awesome film is legendary, I particularly like the scene where they go to get the third Unicorn. I wonder what Steven Spielberg has got for us next.”

Lilly, aged 10: “This film was amazing, action-packed and downright hilarious. If you haven’t read the comic books (which, by the way, are awesome) it doesn’t matter when you see the film, which is great.

The story sees young Belgian reporter, Tintin, and his loyal dog, Snowy set out on an adventure to stop some evil sailors stealing the treasure of a shipwrecked boat, the Unicorn. Tintin and Snowy meet the hilarious drunkard Captain Haddock and find many troubles on their journey to the Unicorn. Do they find the ship? What happens to the treasure? Will they solve the mystery of the Unicorn?

My favourite characters were Thompson and Thomson (Simon Pegg and Nick Frost – two comic geniuses) and, of course, Snowy the dog.

Recommended to anyone aged 9 to 13 who loves adventure!”
