CHUCK THE ECO DUCK tells the on-going adventures of a conscientious, ecologically minded duck and his efforts to help the Farm he lives on and all his animal friends. In fact, unless he’s away on a mission, Chuck’s first job every morning is to check the welfare of everyone on the Farm.

Chuck is very protective and determined to do all he can for his friends and his home.

And whether it’s the need for a new source of energy or to make the local river clean or to help a stranded bird who’s a long way off course — Chuck will use every resource at his disposal to find a solution — with a little help from his friends.

At the same time, Chuck learns that what is good for the Farm is also good for everybody, no matter where they live. After all his slogan is — ‘Love Your World!’

Meet the characters

CHUCK

A duck known worldwide as a defender of bird and animal rights for this troubled planet.  Lots of creatures can have Chuck as their friend on facebook, twitter and bebo.  “Love Your World!” he says to both friend and foe.  He lives on a small Farm in the countryside not far from a City and works from his office near the pond.  Apart from his daily Farm duties, he has many adventures through his efforts to make the world a better place for everyone.  Chuck has a kind, generous nature, is a bit opinionated and sometimes grumpy, and works tirelessly because he cares for us all — so “Let’s get quacking!”

DOODLE
A young cockerel and loyal, best friend to Chuck. He looks up to his mentor — he has to anyway as he’s a very small bird! He’s a bit of a pessimist and very nervous, often heard making puck-puck-pucking sounds, especially when he’s around the Farm’s scary scarecrow. “Oh dear!” he also exclaims when Chuck and himself are thrown into yet another challenging or dangerous incident on both domestic and international issues. Doodle is always eager to learn and sometimes unexpectedly comes through to save the day.

BERT
An albatross who supports Chuck in all his good work. He’s a regular James Bond of the skies, flying with a camera and portable transmitter to send photos, videos and data to television channels and newspapers. He also reports daily to Chuck by e-mail on any trouble spots and misfortunes affecting bird and animal life worldwide. Bert is brave and handsome — and has a girly bird fan club that follows him wherever he flies! “Qwark you later, dude!” he always cries, before heading off on another mission.

DENVER
This duck is the pond’s lifeguard and on patrol morning to night. He’s fully qualified and holds life-saving certificates. A very fit bird who works out at the Farm’s gym and advocates healthy living — “Fitness Is First!” — advising all the animals on diet and exercise programmes. He’s very disciplined and well turned out, wearing the latest in bathing fashion — as a
young duck was influenced by re-runs of ‘Baywatch’ on TV! He’s brave and, for a duck, has a fine physique!

DUCTOR DAD
The Farm’s medical practitioner to all the animals and birds, he reports to Mr. Farmer on a daily basis. Most importantly he’s Chuck’s father and, as you can imagine, very proud of his eldest son and the work he does. Ductor Dad has a surgery near the Pond, which is open all day and his case load is usually very busy. He’s assisted by a young nurse duck, DAISY. Any serious cases in his care are also reported to the local Vet. Ductor Dad is highly respected, elderly and has a long beard that he continually falls over!
