Just like every kid, there is nothing the Famous Five enjoy more than being outdoors solving mysteries and having adventures together. And they solve some pretty great mysteries! In the ‘Famous Five’ series Enid Blyton manages to bring to life all the adventures you could imagine and more.

George

George is Julian, Dick and Anne’s cousin and owner of Timmy the dog. A loner at heart, George the tom boy soon finds out how much fun you can have when you share your adventures with good friends.

Kind hearted and loyal she excels in outdoor activities especially swimming and climbing.

Julian

Julian is eldest of the Famous Five and so considers himself as the leader of the group.

He is protective of his younger friends and often takes charge on their adventures. He has a clever tongue and often outwits villains with words.

Dick

Dick is 11 years old and the same age as his cousin George. He likes a good joke and usually sees the funny side of situations. Dick is champion able to speak French, box and cook, but is probably most proud of being the champion cherry-stone spitter at school!
Dick would like to become a doctor when he grows up.

Anne

Anne is 10 years old and the younger sister of Dick and Julian. She is loyal, truthful, brave and resourceful.

As a great puzzle solver, Anne is often key in working out many of the mysteries on the Famous Five’s adventures.

Timmy

Last but certainly not least is Timmy, the lovable mongrel!

He was found as a puppy by George on the moors. George’s father refuses to let her keep the puppy so George secretly pays a local fisher boy all her pocket money to look after him for her. However, George’s father soon relents and George and Timmy become inseparable.

When he’s not chasing villains Timmy loves joining in with the Famous Five’s adventures sharing their picnics, swimming and riding in their boat!
