In fact, the past two years have been the driest since records began! And on top of that, we each now use more water than ever before.

With water playing such an important role in our lives it’s important that we don’t take it for granted.

So we’ve teamed up with Thames Water to give you some easy ideas to help you save water. Not only will it help the environment, but it may even save your parents some money too – always a good thing!

Here’s our top 3 tips:

1. Shorter showers – On average a shower uses 10 litres a minute! It’s important to keep clean but maybe only spend a few minutes in there rather than hours.

2. Use the fridge – When you want a drink of water, rather than waiting for the tap to run cold, why not just keep a jug of water in the fridge? You’ll waste less water plus it’ll be nice and cool, perfect for a hot summer’s day.

3. Turn off the tap when you’re brushing your teeth- only have the tap on for rinsing your mouth and brush.

Pencil in the date 19th March because on that day The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn comes out onto DVD, Blu-ray and 3D!

With Robot as a presenter on our daily Breakfast show, we love robots here at Fun Kids, so it was always highly likely that we’d love DreamWorks Pictures’ Real Steel.

Out on Blu-ray™ and DVD from 20 February, Real Steel stars Hugh Jackman as irresponsible ex-boxer Charlie Kenton who has been lost since boxing went high-tech and 2000-pound, 8-foot-tall steel robots have taken over the ring.

But when he gets reunited with his son Max and the pair discover an old, very special robot called Atom, Charlie gets one last shot at making a triumphant comeback!

One of the highlights of the film has to be when the robot Atom dances before each fight! And so this week we sent presenters Hannah, Luke and Alex to spend a day with Street Dance UK to learn how to dance like a robot!

The only problem now is that each of our presenters reckons they’re the best robot dancer! So we need your help to decide.

So here’s our quick round-up of the night’s highlights in case you missed it or just want to enjoy it again.

One Direction were presumably ‘Up All Night’ celebrating yesterday as they went home from the annual music ceremony with their first ever Brit Award!

Despite only releasing their first single in September of last year, the boys have already received a prize at the UK’s biggest music awards. Nominated for ‘Best British Single’, their debut track ‘What Makes You Beautiful’ beat off competition from pop royalty Olly Murs, JLS and Pixie Lott, amongst others, to claim the prize.

The band was clearly delighted with their success. Harry soon took to Twitter to tell their many fans ‘That was for all of you. Thank you so much. You’re amazing. Now…. Woooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!’

Elsewhere on the night, Adele continued her award-winning run by following up success at the Grammy awards in America with two Brits.

She won ‘Best Female Solo Artist’ and the top prize of the night, ‘Album of the Year’, for ‘21′. She also wowed the crowd with a rendition of her hit single ‘Someone Like You’.

Other awards went to Rihanna, Coldplay and Bruno Mars, whilst singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran claimed two awards – ‘Best Male Solo Artist’ and ‘British Breakthrough Artist’, as well as performing his song ‘Lego House’ on stage.

It wasn’t all doom and gloom for Olly Murs either. Despite missing out on the ‘Best Single’ award, he did get to perform ‘Heart Skips A Beat’ live on the Brits stage with Rizzle Kicks, wowing the crowd with tens of female dancers! Lucky Olly!

But for the many 1D fans out there, here’s a reminder of why they won the award for ‘Best British Single’…

And for serious kung fu fanatics, there are not one, two but three martial arts marvels – Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, Iron Monkey and The Forbidden Kingdom. Between them they have some of the most spectacularly choreographed moves in cinema history.

For those wishing to watch a film with a more gentle pace, dip into rural Chinese culture with Not One Less, a beautiful tale about a 13-year-old girl, who is depended on by her small community to find a school boy after he goes missing.

About the Film

War Horse is the story of a miraculous horse in wartime—a stirring journey that explores a bond of friendship, loyalty and courage.

Within the tale of a boy and the feisty colt he never stops believing in, there are sweeping battles, desperate escapes and an evocative odyssey through a world at war. But no matter where they go or what they experience both boy and horse keep forging ahead, driven by devotion and the hope of returning home.

The journey begins on the cusp of WWI, as an English farming family buys a fiery hunter colt at auction despite not having the funds to pay for him. Named Joey, the horse seems to be nothing but a loss for struggling Narracott family, but their son Albert is determined to tame and train him, making the most of Joey’s enthralling spirit, speed and affection. The two are inseparable, but when war breaks out, they are pulled apart as Joey is sold from under him and heads to the front as the mount of a dashing British cavalry officer.

Thus starts Joey’s labyrinthine trek through joy and sorrow, hardship and wonder, as this simple horse becomes a remarkable hero, touching lives on all sides of the war with his innocence, purity of motive, and unconditional devotion to his human friends. He pulls battlefield ambulances, whisks away German soldiers on the run, fires the imagination of a French girl and hauls colossal cannons up mountains.

As the film builds to its powerful climax, and Albert heads into the trenches on his own perilous mission, Joey finds himself ensnared in the haunting No Man’s Land between British and German territory. But even when it seems there can be no return, he sets in motion a momentary chance for peace and holds fast to a dream of reunion and renewal.

War Horse is out on 13 January and is a 12A certificate
